Director Sales (Middle and Back Office Solutions) Financial Services Technology | Asia Based in Singapore · Asia Pacific Regional HQ ·
Full time · Base + commission
Our Client is looking for a Senior Sales Executive to own new business and growth across an Asian territory from here.
You will sell technology that the world's largest banks, custodians and asset managers depend on every day — now with Agentic AI at its core. You will report to the Head of Sales for APAC based in the same office, have a presales team down the corridor, and 1,500+ live client deployments globally behind every conversation you open.
What you'll be selling - Reconciliations & Exceptions Management
- Agentic AI
- Cash and Liquidity Management
- Collateral Management
- Fees and Expense Management
- Corporate Actions Processing
- Reference Data Services
- Digital Payments and Investigations
What you'll do You will own new business and account growth across your designated Asian territory, reporting to the Head of Sales, Asia Pacific based in Singapore. Day to day, that means:
- Finding and qualifying opportunities — researching prospects, understanding where they sit in the market, and matching the right solutions to the right client profiles.
- Building relationships that last, from first outreach through to senior and C-level sponsorship.
- Generating your own pipeline, including outbound and cold outreach, alongside marketing-led activity.
- Running the full sales cycle end to end — discovery, demos, proposals, RFI/RFP responses, commercial negotiation and close.
- Working shoulder to shoulder with presales and business solutions colleagues on demos, presentations and tailored collateral.
- Forecasting accurately and keeping the CRM current, so the numbers you commit to are the numbers we plan around.
- Growing existing clients through upsell and cross-sell, and spotting where our roadmap should go next — your market feedback reaches Product Management directly.
- Representing the company at industry conferences and tradeshows across the region.
- Keeping your own knowledge sharp — product updates, industry publications, professional networks and workshops.
What success looks like - In your first 3 months: You know your territory — the institutions, their operating pain points, and who owns the budget. You have met your existing clients and built a qualified pipeline.
- By 6 months: You are running deals independently with presales support, forecasting reliably, and have converted early pipeline into committed opportunities.
- By 12 months: You have hit your annual target, brought in new logos, and grown revenue in accounts that were already ours.
What you'll bring We care more about the depth and relevance of your experience than an exact number of years. If you can point to most of the below, we would like to hear from you.
- Substantial enterprise sales experience — typically around a decade — with a meaningful stretch of it selling to financial services institutions, including engagement at C-level and senior management.
- Experience selling solutions and services to financial institutions in Asia across areas such as capital markets, payments, treasury, finance, risk control, regulatory compliance, and post-trade middle and back-office operations.
- A track record of hitting quarterly and annual targets, and of winning genuinely new-name business — not just renewals.
- The ability to get to grips with complex fintech products quickly and translate them into what a client actually needs.
- Fluent spoken and written English. Mandarin, Malay/Bahasa or another regional language is a real advantage given the territory.
- A degree in a business or technology discipline, or equivalent experience that got you to the same place.
- Comfort collaborating across time zones with clients and colleagues globally, and willingness to travel across the region.
