Bullion Sales & Operations Director (Singapore) Overview
 
An exciting opportunity to lead and grow a regulated bullion business in Singapore, overseeing physical precious metals trading, gold-backed financing, sales, operations, and regulatory compliance.
This leadership role combines commercial strategy with operational excellence, requiring an experienced professional who can drive business growth while ensuring robust governance across trading, custody, logistics, and regulatory obligations.
 
Key Responsibilities Commercial Leadership

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy for the bullion business across Singapore and the wider APAC region.
• Expand relationships with institutional clients, family offices, banks, brokers, wealth managers, commodity firms and other strategic partners.
• Drive sales of physical bullion products and develop new revenue opportunities.
• Manage pricing strategies, product offerings and client profitability.
• Structure and execute bullion financing solutions, including gold-backed lending, collateralised facilities and other asset-backed transactions. Operations & Trade Management
• Oversee the complete trade lifecycle, from order execution through settlement, custody and physical delivery.
• Manage vault inventory, reconciliation processes and operational controls.
• Ensure seamless coordination between front office, operations, finance and compliance functions.
• Continuously improve operational efficiency through automation and process optimisation.

Regulatory & Risk Management

• Act as the designated regulatory representative for the bullion business where required.
• Maintain compliance with Singapore's Precious Stones and Precious Metals (PSPM) regulatory framework, AML/CFT requirements and internal governance standards.
• Manage regulatory reporting, audits, licence renewals and ongoing engagement with relevant authorities.
• Establish and maintain effective operational risk and control frameworks.

Leadership

• Build, lead and mentor a high-performing team across sales and operations.
• Foster collaboration between commercial, technology, operations and compliance teams.
• Develop scalable processes to support future regional expansion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as CFA are advantageous.
• 10-15+ years of experience within bullion, precious metals, commodities, FX or capital markets.
• Strong commercial track record in developing institutional client relationships and growing revenue across APAC.
• Deep understanding of physical precious metals trading, custody, settlement and financing structures.
• Experience managing the complete trade lifecycle and operational infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore regulatory requirements, including PSPM licensing, AML/CFT obligations and governance frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing commercial and operational teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
