Head of Wealth Solutions – Asset Transfer Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Regional Operations Hub) Employment Type: Permanent A leading international financial institution is seeking a senior operations leader to head its Wealth Solutions Asset Transfer function. This role sits within regional wealth and investment operations and is responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end asset transfer and trade settlement processes across multiple products and markets. The position combines strategic leadership, operational control, people management, and risk governance, with a strong focus on process excellence, regulatory compliance, and service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Strategy & Business Management
Contribute to the development and execution of asset transfer and wealth operations strategy aligned with broader business objectives.
Provide regional oversight of wealth solutions and asset transfer processes across multiple jurisdictions.
Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and scalable operating models.
Operations & Governance
Lead and manage end‑to‑end asset transfer and trade settlement activities across all relevant products.
Ensure service level agreements (SLAs), turnaround times, and accuracy standards are consistently met.
Drive process standardisation, controls enhancement, and operational resilience, including business continuity planning.
Risk & Control
Maintain strong governance frameworks and ensure full adherence to regulatory, audit, and internal control requirements.
Identify, assess, and remediate operational risks, working closely with risk, compliance, and audit partners.
Support ongoing improvement of risk management methodologies and control frameworks.
People & Leadership
Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing regional team across asset transfer operations.
Embed a culture of accountability, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement.
Oversee performance management, training, and succession planning within the function.
Change & Transformation
Champion automation and process optimisation initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Support system enhancements and operational change programmes related to wealth and investment operations.
Requirements
Extensive experience in wealth management or investment operations, with deep exposure to asset transfer and settlement processes.
Proven leadership experience managing regional or complex operational teams.
Strong understanding of operational risk, controls, and regulatory requirements within financial services.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, automation, and operational excellence.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
