Pre-Sales Manager - Risk (Singapore / Hong Kong / Japan) About the Role A leading global fintech and financial technology provider is seeking a Pre-Sales Manager to lead its risk solutions consulting function across Asia-Pacific. This role sits within the capital markets business and is responsible for managing a team of solution consultants while driving pre-sales strategy and client engagement.
You will play a key role in shaping go-to-market initiatives, aligning regional sales efforts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutioning across banking and trading risk domains.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Delivery - Lead and manage a team of pre-sales / solution consultants covering enterprise risk solutions
- Drive change management initiatives, including operating model, sales strategy, and territory alignment
- Ensure high-quality delivery across client engagements, including discovery, solutioning, and proposal development
- Coach and develop team members through training and performance management
Client Engagement & Solutioning - Engage clients to understand business, functional, and regulatory requirements
- Support RFI/RFP responses with strong value propositions and solution design
- Act as a trusted advisor by combining domain expertise with technical solution knowledge
- Maintain high standards of client interaction and presentation
Sales & Go-To-Market Support - Partner with regional sales teams to define and execute go-to-market strategies
- Support pipeline growth through active participation in business development activities
- Align priorities with sales leadership to drive revenue outcomes
- Act as the central pre-sales contact for risk solutions across APAC
Product & Internal Collaboration - Work closely with product management to provide market feedback and influence product development
- Collaborate with global teams to share regional insights and improve solution offerings
- Interface with delivery, support, and development teams to ensure seamless handover post-sale
Process & Governance - Build and enhance pre-sales processes, documentation, and best practices
- Participate in global forums to improve visibility and consistency across regions
Requirements - 10+ years of experience in risk management, treasury, capital markets, or related consulting roles
- At least 3 years of team leadership or management experience
- Strong knowledge of banking and trading risk solutions, including regulatory landscapes across APAC
- Proven experience across the full sales lifecycle, from qualification to deal closure
- Ability to translate complex requirements into compelling solution propositions
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills
- Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and delivering solution presentations
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to operate independently while leading and supporting a team
- Fluency in Business Japanese is mandatory
Preferred - Experience within a fintech, risk technology, or enterprise software environment
- Exposure to multi-asset risk systems (market, credit, or enterprise risk)
- Additional regional language skills are a plus
