VP / SVP, Institutional Sales (APAC) Overview
A leading global provider of multi-asset trading technology, liquidity solutions, and financial market infrastructure is seeking a senior Institutional Sales professional to drive growth across APAC.
The firm operates a B2B model, supporting a global network of institutional clients with trading platforms, liquidity access, and market solutions across asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, qualification, negotiation, and closing of new business
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, including hedge funds, asset managers, and professional trading firms
- Build deep engagement with both trading desks and portfolio management teams
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing client accounts
- Generate and deliver trade ideas, themes, and market insights to clients
- Maintain strong understanding of product offerings, including leveraged FX, precious metals, and securities
- Identify market trends, opportunities, and client needs within the institutional trading landscape
- Partner closely with internal teams such as trading and research to deliver tailored client solutions
- Stay up to date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in institutional sales within financial markets (e.g. bank, broker, trading firm, or asset manager)
- Strong knowledge of leveraged FX, OTC products, and institutional trading workflows
- Proven track record of building and managing relationships with investment-grade institutional clients
- Strong network across hedge funds, asset managers, and/or proprietary trading firms
- Ability to engage both traders and portfolio managers with credible market insights
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and execute on revenue opportunities
- Relevant regulatory qualifications (e.g. MAS licensing) preferred
- Fluency in English required; additional Asian language skills (e.g. Mandarin or Japanese) advantageous
