Job Title: Pre-Sales & Client Support Engineer (Japan Market)
Role Overview
This is a
hybrid technical and client-facing role that bridges the gap between business needs and technological solutions. You will be instrumental in supporting sales activities, delivering technical demonstrations, and providing dedicated ongoing support to clients post-implementation. Working closely with regional leadership and global technical teams, you will ensure the success and satisfaction of clients within the Japanese market.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Support - Engage with clients in Japan both remotely and onsite to support sales and relationship teams.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept setups
- Analyze client business workflows and translate them into specific technical requirements.
- Collaborate with internal product and development teams to design tailored technical solutions.
- Contribute to the creation of proposals and technical documentation in both Japanese and English
Client Services & Post-Sales Support - Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Japan-based clients following implementation.
- Provide first-line support, including issue triage and coordination with global engineering teams
- Assist clients with trade workflow configurations, API connectivity, and rigorous system testing.
- Maintain strong client relationships by ensuring the timely resolution of all technical issues.
- Localize documentation and user guides specifically for Japanese users.
Technical Development - Utilize Java and Python to build, test, and support integration scripts and internal tools.
- Validate and test product updates or enhancements thoroughly before client rollout.
- Support data analysis and automation initiatives to improve the overall client experience
Requirements
- Language: Native-level Japanese (spoken and written) and strong English proficiency.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 2-5 years in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or client support.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on programming experience with Java and Python.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated client-facing experience.
- Travel: Willingness to travel regularly to Japan for meetings and onsite support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial technology (FinTech), FX, or trading platforms.
- Understanding of APIs, data integration, or messaging protocols such as FIX or REST.
- Familiarity with enterprise environments within banks or major financial institutions.
