Pre-Sales Associate to join its
Post-Trade Solutions team within the Capital Markets division. Based in
Hong Kong, you will support business growth across Asia Pacific by promoting a suite of post-trade technology and service offerings spanning multiple asset classes, including
Equities, Fixed Income, Listed Derivatives, and FX.
The solutions you will represent help financial institutions address the full post-trade lifecycle—
clearing, settlement, and position management—while solving complex operational and regulatory challenges.
In this consultative role, you will work closely with Sales, Product, and Technology teams to understand client needs, design and demonstrate tailored solutions, and support the full sales cycle from early qualification through RFP/RFI support and deal closure.
Key Responsibilities - Engage with clients, prospects, partners, and industry participants to understand post-trade requirements and effectively communicate how the organisation's capital markets solutions create value.
- Prepare and deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops tailored to client-specific use cases, covering both business and technical workflows.
- Develop and maintain subject-matter expertise across the capital markets ecosystem, with strong knowledge in at least two of the following areas:
- Post-trade: Clearing, Settlement, Multi-Asset Classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Listed Derivatives, FX)
- Related domains such as Securities Financing, Asset Servicing, Regulatory Trade & Transaction Reporting, Reconciliations
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Strategy, and Marketing teams to translate client requirements into solution designs, positioning strategies, and sales support materials (demos, presentations, collateral).
- Lead and support pre-sales activities, including:
- Developing discovery questionnaires to capture client drivers and requirements
- Contributing SME inputs for RFPs/RFIs and other formal client submissions
- Partner with Sales Directors to identify, qualify, and progress new business opportunities, establishing credibility with senior stakeholders.
- Participate in business development initiatives such as client meetings, conferences, seminars, trade shows, and industry events, while providing market intelligence on trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
Your Profile - Strong background in financial services or capital markets, with proven exposure to clearing, settlement, and post-trade operations.
- Experience working within (or supporting) financial institutions or financial technology providers, ideally within the Asia Pacific region.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with Sales, Account Management, Product, and Technology teams in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Awareness of SaaS/cloud platforms (e.g., IBM, AWS) and their application in financial services is advantageous.
- Pre-sales and/or business development experience in financial technology is strongly preferred.
Skills and Competencies - High proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio with the ability to produce professional, client-ready materials.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable delivering senior-level presentations independently.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to represent the organisation credibly with senior clients and internal stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines; self-starter who thrives in a regional matrix structure.
- Technical capability to define, configure, and deliver solution demonstrations in a pre-sales context.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements, sales cycles, and industry events.
- Cantonese and Mandarin proficiency (oral and written) is a plus.
- This role requires a significant presence in Hong Kong; relocation assistance is not available.
