Client Services Manager (Multilingual: Korean, Japanese & English) — Proxy Voting /
Asset-Servicing
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Client Services Manager to support and deliver U.S. proxy voting services to clients in Japan and South Korea. This is a Tokyo-based, full-time position
requiring on-site presence, with a hybrid work arrangement. You will serve as the primary
client liaison and lead the implementation and ongoing delivery of proxy-voting solutions
for institutional and retail clients, particularly brokers and banks.
What You Will Do
- Act as the multilingual (Korean, Japanese, English) liaison for Japan and South
Korea-based clients. Facilitate contractual negotiations and translate terms across
languages and cultures.
- Lead client onboarding and implementation processes — including data
processing, programming, vote tabulation, and operational setup.
- Manage day-to-day client relationships: serve as the main point of contact for
inquiries, incidents, and escalations; coordinate resolution with internal technical,
operations, and support teams.
- Translate and communicate technical and contractual information clearly between
clients and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor service-delivery metrics, maintain documentation, and prepare regular
reports on client satisfaction and operational performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, risk mitigation, and enhanced
efficiency across workflows.
- Collaborate with sales, product, technical support, and other internal teams to
ensure alignment and deliver superior service.
Who You Are (Your Profile)
- Native or near-native fluency in Japanese and Korean, plus professional fluency in
English (spoken and written).
- Possess a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) — ideally in Business, Finance,
Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in client service, account management, or implementation
within financial services, proxy-voting, asset servicing, or comparable technology service environments. Experience in funds, banking, or insurance sectors is a plus.
- Strong understanding of operational delivery processes (data handling,
programming, vote tabulation) and capability to coordinate across technical teams.
- Proven ability in cross-cultural negotiation and interpreting contractual and
technical documentation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM
systems or issue-tracking tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to
manage competing priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced
environment.
- Must be willing and able to work on-site in Tokyo office.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Previous exposure or working knowledge in asset servicing, proxy-voting
workflows, or corporate actions.
- Experience in bilingual or multilingual environments servicing institutional clients.
- Basic familiarity with project-management practices and process-improvement
methodologies.
What We Offer
- A competitive compensation and benefits package.
- A dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative working environment where you'll have the
chance to grow your career.
- Exposure to cross-border markets (Japan and Korea) and the opportunity to work on
global proxy-voting solutions with institutional clients.
