Role Overview We are seeking a strategic and results-driven
Financial Institution Business Development Director to lead partnership expansion with financial institutions and drive revenue growth through payment channel solutions. This role focuses on identifying, negotiating, and managing relationships with banks, fintechs, payment processors, and other financial service providers to strengthen the payment ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the payments industry, hands-on experience in acquiring MPI (Major Payment Institution) and DPT (Digital Payment Token) licenses, and a strong network within the financial sector. Experience in cross-border payments and Web3/stablecoin solutions is highly desirable, along with a proven track record of securing high-value partnerships and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities - Market Expansion: Develop business partnerships with overseas financial institutions, including banks, payment institutions, and fintech companies. Design and execute expansion strategies to achieve partnership and revenue goals.
- Financial Institution Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing partner institutions, ensuring long-term collaboration and mutual growth.
- Licensing & Regulatory Support: Drive and manage processes for obtaining MPI/DPT licenses and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements for digital payments and cross-border operations.
- Partnership Proposal Development: Identify potential financial institutions aligned with product capabilities (e.g., collection, disbursement, foreign exchange, stablecoins) and drive partnership opportunities to completion.
- Market Research & Analysis: Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities in cross-border payments and Web3/stablecoin ecosystems. Provide insights and analysis to support strategic business decisions and product optimization.
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of partnership initiatives, enhancing service quality and competitiveness.
Qualifications & Experience - Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, International Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in business development with overseas financial institutions. Hands-on experience in cross-border payments and Web3/stablecoin solutions is essential. Proven experience obtaining MPI and/or DPT licenses is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong financial knowledge, understanding of cross-border payments processes and digital payment regulations, excellent market analysis, negotiation, communication, and project coordination skills. Able to independently drive business development initiatives.

- Languages: Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking). Additional languages are a plus.
