Product Sales Specialist - Capital Markets
Location: Singapore
Division: Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Head of New Business Sales
Overview
A global market infrastructure leader is seeking a Product Sales Specialist to join its data and analytics division. The organization provides clients with access to global financial and commodities markets—enhancing price discovery, liquidity, and data distribution through innovative and responsible solutions.
Its data and analytics business delivers unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, offering in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmarks and indices, and both pre- and post-trade analytics. It also provides post-trade solutions to help market participants manage counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing suite of balance sheet, compression, and optimization tools.
Role Overview
The Product Sales Specialist will act as a strategic partner to the Sales and Product teams, supporting the full client engagement lifecycle—from opportunity identification to pre-sales consultation and post-sale enablement.
This is a client-facing, market-driven role focused on Rates and Global Broking OTC data solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate across functions—including Sales, Account Management, Product, and Sales Enablement—to provide technical expertise, commercial insights, and scalable sales support.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted technical and commercial advisor to Sales and Account Management teams, supporting client meetings in a pre-sales capacity to diagnose needs and demonstrate solution value.
  • Translate complex market data and analytics capabilities into client-relevant propositions, particularly around Rates and OTC derivatives data.
  • Develop and maintain internal sales collateral and training materials; lead enablement sessions for commercial teams on product features, data architecture, and market positioning.
  • Partner with Product, Risk, Regulation, Sales, and Channel Distribution teams to support go-to-market initiatives and business development strategy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise across key client segments, including:
    • Buy-side and sell-side institutions (Front, Middle, Back Office, Risk, Compliance)
    • Major Market Data Vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, LSEG, S&P)
  • Collaborate with Sales, Client Success, and Operations to ensure a seamless pre- and post-sales experience.
  • Monitor and interpret evolving client needs related to risk, pricing, valuation, and regulatory compliance, particularly in OTC derivatives.
  • Maintain deep understanding of industry trends, valuation methodologies, and relevant financial regulations across regions.
  • Relay client and market feedback to Product teams to inform product development and enhancements.
  • Support the go-to-market strategy for cloud-based Analytics-as-a-Service offerings through commercial and technical engagement.
  • Engage confidently with quantitative and technical clients, applying a working knowledge of modelling techniques and real-world data applications.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, client forums, and strategic meetings with partners and vendors.
Experience and Competencies
Essential
  • Proven experience in financial services—ideally within broking, trading, product, or sales engineering roles—with strong understanding of OTC derivatives and capital markets data workflows.
  • Knowledge of OTC rates data products and their application within buy- and sell-side institutions.
  • Experience selling or supporting sales of OTC data products (e.g., BVAL, BVOL, BGN or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with credibility at senior client levels.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving or supporting revenue growth in capital markets.
  • Commercially astute and innovative, with ability to identify opportunities and align product positioning with market needs.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and capable of handling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Adept at simplifying complex data or technical concepts into actionable, client-facing narratives.
  • Experience interpreting large data sets or market trends to support commercial objectives.
Desired
  • Experience in a front-office, pre-sales, or product specialist role involving direct client interaction.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based analytics or data-as-a-service platforms.
  • Understanding of financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, Basel, EMIR) impacting capital markets.
  • Ability to liaise with quantitative teams, with familiarity in basic modelling or data science concepts.
  • Experience working with external data vendors or integrating third-party data into client offerings.
  • Knowledge of data delivery methods and APIs (e.g., FIX, SFTP, REST).
  • Track record of supporting product launches or GTM strategies in regulated financial markets.
