About the Company
The company is a 25-year-old, fast-growing money transfer firm in Singapore. It is licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore as a Major Payment Institution. The firm provides money transfer and money-changing services with a specific focus on the migrant population. These services are offered through a unique hybrid model, utilizing multiple strategic branches and an online service. The firm's recent innovations include the use of AI and Web 3.0 technologies, and a new venture aims to leverage stablecoins to lead the cross-border payments sector.

About the Role
This role is for a salesperson to pioneer a new, lean function focused on converting and seeking new SME and corporate clients who require cross-border payout solutions. This is not a traditional sales role with a fixed script, cold calls, or KPI hell. The individual in this position will need to understand the company's products and credibly position them to move opportunities forward. The role offers sharp ownership, less hierarchy, and a chance to shape how things are done. The position reports directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will also work closely with internal teams, including Partnerships, Product, Operations, and Compliance, to ensure successful client onboarding and support.

Key Responsibilities
The "Salesperson" will be responsible for:
  • Acting as the first point of contact and handling all follow-ups for clients.
  • Understanding the company's offerings and framing them for business use.
  • Following up with clients using CRM/SaaS tools.
  • Possessing sufficient knowledge about products, margins, corridors, and AML to be competent during calls.
  • Co-owning the pipeline strategy.
  • Coordinating with internal teams (Operations, Compliance, Product) to transition clients from "yes" to "live".
  • Representing the company at meetings, expos, or other useful gatherings.
  • Regularly reporting on sales activities and key learnings. 
Role Requirements
Candidates for this position should, at a minimum, meet the following criteria:
  • Have a tertiary education or at least two years of professional experience in a client-facing or revenue-generating role.
  • Be fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Be confident in business communication, whether through calls, emails, or chat-based discussions.
  • Be comfortable using Google Sheets, CRM tools, and digital onboarding platforms.
  • Be structured, responsive, and attentive to detail in managing the sales process.
  • Possess commercial awareness, which includes being able to position value without making false promises.
  • Ideally, be proficient in Mandarin to reflect key corridor segments.
