Senior Pre-Sales Consultant - Front Office Risk & Trading (Greater China/ Hong Kong)

The Role
We are seeking a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant with deep front office and risk expertise to support growth in Greater China / Hong Kong. This is a strategic expansion role, with a primary focus on trading and risk management for structured products and derivatives.
Based in Beijing (preferred, with office access), the role can also be based in Shanghai (remote-friendly) or Hong Kong (last preference). You will lead high-impact pre-sales engagements from discovery to deal closure.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Leadership
-Lead the pre-sales process from initial demos to RFI/RFP responses, scope of work discussions, and solution workshops.
-Conduct discovery sessions to map client needs to platform capabilities, focusing on front office pricing and risk management.
-Engage C-level executives in business-driven conversations.
-Support long sales cycles (6-18 months) by building trust, driving solution adoption, and positioning solutions against competitors.
Domain & Solution Expertise
-Specialize in structured products and derivatives across commodities, equity derivatives, interest rate, credit, and FX.
-Strong understanding of pricing models (selecting the right model for each product), and ability to link these to best practices in trading and risk workflows.
-Provide advisory on risk management solutions, with opportunities to upskill in credit risk, market risk, stress testing, and FRTB.
Go-to-Market & Client Engagement
-Collaborate with internal sales, functional, and marketing teams to deliver tailored use cases and value propositions.
-Drive SaaS and managed services upgrades for existing clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
-7-10+ years of experience in capital markets technology pre-sales, with proven front office pricing expertise.
-Mandatory: Proficiency in structured products and derivatives
-Fluency in Mandarin & English (written and spoken). Experience working in Mainland China is a strong advantage.
-Knowledge of MX.3 or equivalent trading/risk platforms is essential; familiarity with competitor offerings is a plus.
-Strong track record engaging with senior stakeholders and C-levels in financial institutions.
-Understanding of sell-side operations; buy-side exposure is a nice-to-have.
