Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day operational activities between customers, front office, and other operational teams to ensure all transactions are accurately processed.
- Handle a wide range of products including Bonds, Repos, Mortgages, Loans, Primary New Issues, Futures, and Pledges.
- Liaise with settlements teams, brokers, and clients to resolve trade-related issues.
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure all reconciliations are completed and escalated in a timely manner.
- Resolve all cash and security fails promptly.
- Promote operational excellence and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Support the Head of Fixed Income Middle Office in delivering the technology and operating model strategy.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative working environment.
- Drive process improvements and system automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with departmental and firm-wide Operational Risk & Regulatory requirements.
- Assist in implementing appropriate Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Skills, Competencies & Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of Middle Office experience.
- Strong understanding of Cash Fixed Income products.
- Experience with Murex and CTM is a plus.
- Fluent in both verbal and written English.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Strong focus on controls and reducing operational risk.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to drive change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
