Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Technology team as a product manager to develop new platforms and technologies, such as an internal position bookkeeping system.
- Take ownership of financial and portfolio reporting, including reviewing quarterly management reports and annual financial statements.
- Liaise with the fund administrator for tasks like capital calls, management fee calculations, distributions, and financial statement reporting.
- Work with stakeholders to support audits, tax processes, and investor information requests.
- Maintain fund industry relationships and stay informed about relevant regulations and best practices.
- Understand trade operations processes to ensure accurate fund accounting and records.
- Participate in UAT system testing for new platforms used by internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures.
- Drive process improvements and manage change to meet departmental objectives.
Ideal Requirements: - Experience in middle office or fund operations at a fund manager, fund administrator, or financial institution, preferably with a hedge fund or liquid fund operations.
- Familiarity with the Operational Due Diligence process (e.g., AIMA) for external investors is a plus.
- Knowledge of fund valuation principles, financial statements, and accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS).
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Interest in and familiarity with technology, with product development being a significant part of the role.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
