MD relocation from Singapore to London

The candidate successfully achieved MD within 2 years and still at the organisation seven years later.

Challenge

A candidate well known to Trevose Partners based in Singapore approached us about returning to the UK as his role in Asia could not provide a platform for promotion. The only way he was realistically going to attain promotion to MD, was through to transfer to a non-core location, which was not his ideal avenue personally.

Approach

We were aware that a major Bank needing a Global Lead in similar product line in the UK and via our network we managed to connect with the hiring manager based in NYC. Ultimately our candidate was the preferred option for them, but unfortunately, they could not offer a relocation package to the candidate which proved a sticking point.

Outcome

Undeterred, Trevose Partners learned that another global institution needed to fill the very same type of position based in the UK, and a targeted call was put into the hiring manager which led to an offer / acceptance and subsequent relocation. The candidate successfully achieved MD within 2 years and still at the organisation seven years later.
