Challenge

One of the requirements was for a Director of Derivatives CTB with a particular need for regulatory expertise, including EMIR.

Approach

Given the lack of qualified candidates in the local market this needed to be an international search which was further complicated by the highly volatile local currency at that time.

Outcome

Through our network we identified a Ukranian national based in NYC who at that time was running a global derivatives regulatory programme at a leading US bank. The candidate was keen to relocate to Moscow to be closer to family and the role was successfully filled within 2 months.
