Looking for an experienced Japanese Senior Analyst in Collateral Risk Management with strong communication skills.

As a Senior Analyst in Capital Markets Collateral Risk Management, the primary focus will be on effectively and efficiently managing counterparty credit risk while delivering exceptional services to its clients. This role entails close collaboration with various departments including credit, middle office, legal, front office, settlements, and corporate treasury, requiring strong communication skills.

Core responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing OTC and SFT portfolios to ensure completeness and accuracy for Japanese market. 
  • Daily monitoring of client portfolios and managing collateral calls to mitigate credit risk.
  • Accurate input of margin tickets into the collateral system.
  • Investigating valuation discrepancies.
  • Interacting with clients via email and telephone.
  • Resolving and escalating collateral issues.
Additionally, Analysts are expected to:
  • Contribute innovative ideas to enhance group performance.
  • Proactively manage risk by staying updated on market trends and assessing their impact on exposures.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and risk reduction through process improvement.
  • Perform control functions to maintain process integrity.
  • Foster an environment that values individual employees and adheres to bank policies.
Job Requirements:
  • Proficiency in business Japanese to engage with Japanese clients (Native,N1 or N2 level).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline. CFA and/or FRM certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in capital markets or relevant collateral management.
  • Proactive, self-motivated with quick learning ability.
  • Thorough understanding of business, markets, products, and systems.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders for optimal outcomes.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous and dynamic environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
