K role managing all commercial aspects of the business from content creation through to marketing and external presenting of the commodity exchange.

The sales role will focus on managing and growing business from existing client relationships in Singapore, China and Hong Kong as well as looking to drive growth from new client development and onboarding across the trade cycle.
Although the role will focus on sales and relationship management, the job holder will also be a key part of a team that manages all commercial aspects of the business from content creation through to marketing and external presenting as a representative of the exchange in Asia.

Desired Skills
• Strong knowledge of Commodity markets from both a derivatives and physical perspective. Oil, Refined Products and Metals are preferred.
• Understanding of trading strategies and products from the perspective of OTC and Exchange trading with deep knowledge of the full Futures to Clearing trade life cycle. Including hedging strategies and speculative plays.
• Understanding of Chinese mainland trading environment, regulatory environment and the access requirements to global markets and Market Data.
• Be aware of trends in derivatives trading and regulation in Asia-Pacific and provide updates to HQ.
• Ability to engage with a range of customer types from Senior Management of blue chips to Financial Proprietary traders in different regions.
• Proactively prospecting for new clients from internal leads or cold calling of prospects sourced from Industry publications, financial media, event participation as well as utilising Salesforce CRM to track and report status to management.
• Development and nurturing of high value opportunities from inception until maturity.
• Work effectively with different divisions across the firm including Product, Marketing, Platform Solutions, Operations and other Sales segments to acquire new leads.
• Entrepreneurial: Self Starter with desire to take responsibility to identify and execute business opportunities in Asia.
• Natural collaborator with an innovative and can-do attitude
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Mandarin for internal and external viewers.

Essential Duties:
• Market the company to Asian customers, particularly in Singapore, Hong Kong and Mainland China.
• Identify and Develop Sales Campaigns in both English and Mandarin based on Company Strategic goals.
• Manage and Report trends in derivatives trading and regulation in Asia-Pacific and provide
updates to HQ whilst offering actions to such trends.
• Build close relationships with FCMs, Data Vendors, traders, brokers, props and other stakeholders in the region.
• Identify new business opportunities in the region and potential improvements to the firms products and solutions.
• Take responsibility for developing the exchange Chinese-language marketing materials (brochures, handouts, website etc) whilst working with marketing team to develop social media content and regional and international campaign ideas
• Circulate meeting reports and update customer contact information as appropriate.
• Liaise with colleagues in the Asia offices to maximize cross-selling opportunities.
• Attend industry events and make presentations as required.
• Asia travel will be expected when possible and appropriate.
• Provide leadership and manage sales team with a KPI orientated mindset whilst working as a team player to achieve company goals.

Experience
• Minimum of Eight years’ experience in similar role from either a commodity trading, banking, finance, exchange environment or related.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in handling sales and account management roles.
• Existing relationships in the Asian commodity industry preferred with insight into Asian Proprietary and Financial marketplace.

Academic Background
• University graduate in Business, Finance and/or related discipline.
• Degree preferred but equivalent relevant experience accepted.
• Singapore Work Visa holder preferred
