James is a Principal Consultant in our US Practice, supporting George in our Financial Technology division. He specializes in carrying out Senior Mandates and Organizational build-outs both for Trading and Financial Technology firms. With a specific focus on commercially focused technology positions, such as Product, Sales, Implementation, GTM, and Data.
James has been operating in the NY Trading Technology industry for over half a decade. Having built a reputation for himself as an expert consultant in the industry, he has a track record of delivering on complex senior searches that are pivotal in nature, along with building out organizations in high-growth firms, or ones restructuring.
Along with recruitment, James is recognized as a thought leader in the sector, consistently invited to attend events, and is the author of a Bi-Weekly newsletter titled “Financial Technology Today” that is distributed to over 750 FinTech leaders.
A dual citizen, James was born in New York and grew up in Woodlawn before moving to Ireland at the age of 12, where would go on to get his Master's in PR and Journalism, before ultimately finding himself in the recruitment industry back in NY.
In his spare time, James likes to hit the gym, network in the industry, watch Liverpool nearly beat City in the league, and tell incredibly average jokes to the dismay of the office around him.
