Business Analyst — Position Reporting Compliance

Job description:

Working as a BA within compliance looking at position reporting. The ideal candidate will also have vast experience in dealing with equities and come from a positional reporting background. You will be responsible for ensuring that our client complies with the disclosure requirements in respect of; substantial shareholder reporting, short position reporting, takeover reporting, beneficial ownership tracing notices and regulatory position limits.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensuring familiarity with high level large shareholding, short position and takeover disclosure requirements globally
  • Contributing suggestions for the improvement of the systems and processes used by the team
  • Working closely with regional PRG (Position Reporting Group) teams covering Asia Pacific, Europe Middle East and Africa and Americas and Compliance Information Technology (IT) to implement enhancements to the PRG monitoring system (incorporating all relevant regulatory obligations). This includes writing business requirements (BRD), creating test plans, performing user acceptance testing and performing impact assessments
  • Supporting regional PRG teams in raising issues, enhancement and change requests to Compliance IT
  • Liaising with the Business to understand booking and trade flows and complex products traded
  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous position reporting (shareholder disclosures, disclosure of interest) experience
  • Strong financial instrument product knowledge (focusing on equities and equity linked derivatives)
  • Understanding of investment banking and asset management business
  • An organised and structured work style with the ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
